Individuals at risk for teen pregnancy or new to parenthood are excellent candidates for this program. This program responds to the many factors associated with high-risk behaviors as well as thinking patterns that teens and young adults experience in relationships. Through individual therapy, mental health counselors address behaviors associated with dysfunctional understanding of parenthood and are given the opportunity to create a family vision that supports their new concept of parenthood. It empowers clients to include their significant others and or both sets of biological parents to have a say in how they would like to raise their child. Clients will ultimately take active steps to ensure their child is raised in a healthy home while also advocating for their self-care.
